Practical water sensors

A water sensor is nothing more than a specific accessory that is attached to the water detector. It is a type of sensor that is usually installed to monitor the occurrence of water wherever water flows. It is a very useful component that can warn of floods, a burst pipe or something similar.

Where are water sensors mainly used?

Basically, a water sensor is extremely practical if it is about protecting certain areas from water damage. The water sensor is an absolute must, especially in flood regions, because this is the only way the water detector can work properly and possibly avoid major damage. As soon as water leaks from one place, the water sensors detect it and trigger an alarm on the water detector. This alarm is either indicated by an integrated siren or is forwarded directly to an external control so that it can then be further processed from there. The alarm is transmitted in real time so that an immediate reaction can be made.

What types of water sensors are there?

Because there are different water sensors to buy online, it is also possible to individually design the system solutions. The various water sensors can usually be easily combined with all water detectors, thus achieving enormous flexibility. A distinction is made between water sensors, which can be ordered cheaply online or purchased in stores:

Slip-resistant floor sensors

These are water sensors that are usually installed in a false floor or alternatively in a low place in a room. This means that leaks that occur on the floor are displayed directly. The mounting angle for this sensor can be changed so that it can easily be attached to a wall.

Height-adjustable water sensors

This type of sensor is mostly used in tubs. They react to a predefined level and therefore protect against too much water. The height can be adjusted individually and thus enables perfect adaptation to the existing circumstances.

Hanging sensors

These sensors are often mounted freely hanging, for example at overflows in drain shafts or in air shafts. Alternatively, it can be attached to the wall using brackets in order to detect the level accordingly.

water sensor as a flat band

A flat strip can be attached either under the EPDM on a flat roof or directly on the ground. Basically, it is a fabric tape with two stainless wires inside. Due to its design, the flat strip is also often used for cooling lines in air conditioning units or for water pipes that are thermally insulated.

Thanks to the diversity of the Water leak detectors, for example on the water sensor Wi-Fi, water sensor radio or water sensor socket, the needs of different areas of application can be easily covered. At the same time, the reaction behavior, sensitivity and acknowledgments can often be easily adapted to the respective needs in order to support individuality to some extent.
